Members of Caroline 1st. Scouting made their annual walk from the Clearwater Store to Phyllis Lake on  April 30 in overcast spring weather.  This is an annual fundraiser for the scouts, sponsored by the Caroline Lions club and supported by parent volunteers and friends.

Phyllis Lake is believed to have been created by a massive meteor impact in the distant past as it has a fairly circular deep hole in the middle. The lake was named by early surveyors after the first baby of European origin born in the Caroline area.
